"1,2,3!" The bio-musical On Your Feet!, starring Ana Villafañe as Gloria Estefan and Josh Segarra as Emilio, officially opens on November 5. Directed by Tony winner Jerry Mitchell, the production is playing at Broadway’s Marquis Theatre.
Since "Words Get in the Way," to celebrate the Main Stem premiere of the brand new tuner, Broadway.com resident artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson penned this portrait. In addition to the leading duo there's Andréa Burns as Gloria Fajardo (Gloria’s mother), Alma Cuervo as Consuelo (Gloria’s grandmother), Alexandria Suarez as little Gloria, Eduardo Hernandez as Nayib and Eliseo Roman as José (Gloria's father).
Broadway.com wishes the cast a happy opening—before the night is through may the rhythm get you!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
